One day while walking in the farmyard I saw some old chicken wire. It welded wire mesh made me wonder, what if I could make something extraordinary out of this ordinary? That’s when I thought about making a chicken wire chicken. To get started, I laid out my supplies—chicken wire, wire cutters and gloves to shield my hands. I first cut out a piece of chicken wire to make the chicken body. I molded it into a plump little body with a bite out of it, shaping the wire into a tail at the end.
I used a smaller section of chicken wire for the head and formed it into a curved shape. I sculpted in details such as a beak and comb by bending the wire into the appropriate shapes. After completion of the head, I fastened it to the body with wire
